Waiting for a breeze

oil on canvas 12"x 24"
One of those days when everywhere you look is magical - the light, the reflections - Canaletto would have been inspired. The sagging sails tell the tale as classic wooden boats wait to hear the announcement of the start of a race off Port Townsend, Washington. My limited mobility is forcing me to relax and enjoy detail and nuance. I find the peaceful expanse of blue healing for mind and body.

Gorgeous, Judy--glad you're painting. I love the Schooner Zodiac painting too.
