oil on board 8"x 10"
It is so wonderful to see sunlight again after so many miserable months. This is just a little vignette from my garden in the evening light. Every year delicate pink poppies invade my vegetable beds and the little splashes of colour are welcome amongst the green. The gate leads to my neighbour's garden and there is another gate on another side. Ours is a very friendly community and we're constantly exchanging our surplus fruits and vegetables. Saturday, July 17th, is the Moss St. Paint-In in Victoria! I will be there along with many other artists and will be painting from a life model. Last year, over 35,000 people attended the paint-in - so much fun and great energy. I'm looking foward to it.

Wow,wonderful painting,Judy. The extreme values makes the light pop against the shadows. And again, the brush strokes look great. I appears that you are using a fairly large brush considering the size of your board.
Really a great painting.
Thanks so much, Shelley - I guess I am using a fairly large brush but it's one I feel comfortable with. Off to the paint-in. Cheers, Judy
