sculpture in clay 12"x 14"
This little figure looks as though her reverie has been disturbed by a strange sight or sound. I love the contraposto in this pose - the graceful curves and twists. I have exaggerated some of the shapes and proportions and the sculpture seems to be the better for it. It is only human to want to impose our own aesthetic sensibility on what nature has provided. It has ever been thus!
