Nude on White Drapery

oil on yupo, 36"x 24"
This was another quick study, this time of a nude curled up in a fetal position. By quick, I mean painted in an hour and forty minutes. I was thinking of Lucien Freud's amazing nude leaning back on a pile of white rags as I was painting this. Foreshortening is always a challenge that I enjoy taking on. and I found this angle particularly expressive.

This has that chiseled, sculptural quality too. A wonderful painting, Judy.

This one is a terrific painting Judy and accomplished in so short a time! I love the angle and the way the brush strokes follow the forms in a constructive way.
