Sorry about the long gap between postings - sometimes happens in the summer when there's a lot going on! This little piece was done as a demonstration to one of my students. I tried to capture the subtlety in the changes of tone as the light hits the translucent petals and the lovely delicacy of this simple flower, while successfully composing to a square (not always an easy thing to do!)
